Wenqi Zhao

Wenqi Zhao is a DPhil student at the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies (OSGA). Her research interests focus on Chinese technology-intensive (multinational) enterprises, especially their labor regimes. 

Wenqi holds an MSc in International Development from King’s College London and a B.A. with double majors in International Relations and Political Economy from Tulane University. She has work experience at the Development Research Center (DRC) of the State Council in China, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG), and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washinton D.C. At KCL, she worked on the Decolonization of Development Modules project. Additionally, she has written articles about the developing world on her WeChat Official Account and other platforms since 2019. Currently, she is the president of the Global South Film Society at St. Antony’s College in Oxford.
