AIE Conference 2013
The 6th Annual Conference for the Academy of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (AIE 2013) was held in Oxford on 29-30 August 2013. The Technology and Management Centre for Development (TMCD) based at the Oxford Department for International Development hosted the AIE 2013.
Plenary Session I: Innovation & Entrepreneurship for Inclusive and Sustainable Development with Calestous Juma (Harvard University), Luc Soete (Maastricht University), Anne Miroux (UNCTAD). Chaired by Dr Marc Ventresca (University of Oxford).
Plenary Session II: The Transformation from Imitation to Innovation in Emerging Economies with Yves Doz (INSEAD), Augusto Alcorta (UNIDO), David Kaplan (University of Cape Town), Xiaolan Fu (University of Oxford). Session chaired by Prof Rajneesh Narula (University of Reading).
Special Panel Session: Innovation in Low Income Countries with George Owusu Essegbey (Science and Technology Policy Research Institute – Ghana), Mammo Muchie (Tshwane University of Technology, South Africa), Giacomo Zanello (University of Oxford). Session chaired by Prof Pierre Mohnen (UNU - MERIT).
