TMCD-SBS Joint Workshop

Technology and Management Centre (TMCD) and the Saïd Business School (SBS) organised a joint informal workshop to discuss on-going research at both institutions. The workshop which occured on 17th January 2018 discussed innovation and technology happening the world over. From state-level diffusion of Uber in the United States of America to the co-evolution of MNEs in host country enviroments like China, presenters and discussants analysed the role of the state in innovation and development. Focusing on low-income countries, there was consensus that governments should make innovation and technology their priority, considering that innovative technologies like accelerometer devices have the potential to contribute to agriculture production and improve rural livelihoods.
