The second China-UK Innovation and Development Forum took place on 6th December 2017, at the Burton Room, Institute of Directors, London. This was a half-day high-level dialogue co-organised by the Technology and Management Centre for Development (TMCD) of University of Oxford, Innovate UK, China-Britain Business Council (CBBC), Institute of Sciences and Development of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASISD) and Chinese Academy of Science and Technology for Development (CASTED) of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of China.
The main theme of this year's China-UK Innovation and Development Forum was “Driving Growth and Addressing Challenges Together”. The forum aimed at facilitating discussions on the most recent development in science, technology and innovation, and its impact on economic and social development among top policy makers, academics and business leaders in China and the UK. Discussions during the meeting also aimed at tackling a wide range of issues in policy to address challenges in development and fostering cooperation of UK-China innovation through intercultural dialogue.
