1. Research Officer - MNEmerge Project

TMCD is seeking to appoint a postdoctoral Research Officer to work on the research project “MNEmerge” on multinational enterprises and global development under the direction of Professor Xiaolan Fu. Activities include original research and fieldwork, participating in the day-to-day activities of the project, and producing publications including monographs and journal articles. The postholder will contribute to the advancement of the centre’s research by organising a range of activities including seminars, workshops, conferences and undertaking occasional teaching. This full-time post is funded for 24 months, to start in May 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter. The post will require travel overseas for up 10 weeks a year.

2. Part-time Survey Management Assistant, MNEmerge Project
 
TMCD is also seeking to appoint a Survey Management Assistant to work on the research project “MNEmerge” on multinational enterprises and global development.  Duties include: contributing to survey design; management of survey implementation in different countries; data cleaning and preliminary data analysis; participating in the day-to-day activities of the project; liaison with project partners in other countries in order to collect and enter relevant secondary data; documenting and resolving database problems; and other TMDC academic support and administrative tasks as required.  The post holder will help to advance the Centre’s research by contributing to the organization of a range of activities including seminars and conferences and will be responsible to the Director of the TMCD Centre, Professor Xiaolan Fu.  This part-time post is funded for 22 hours per week (60% FTE, spread over four days a week minimum) for 18 months, to start in May 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter.
