Kaihua Chen is a current visiting scholar at TMCD.
Kaihua Chen is Associate Professor of Innovation Develoment and Management at the Institutes of Science and Development of Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research interest is focused on the economics of innovation and governance of innovation systems. He has published academic papers in the top and leading international journals (SSCI indexed) as well as in important Chinese journals among the A-class journal list provided by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). These journals include Research Policy, Technovation, Regional Studies, Journal of Informetrics, Annals of Regional Science, Expert Systems with Applications, China Economic Review, and Scientometrics. So far, he has made a significant breakthrough in the economic behavior analysis of innovation systems, and has creatively proposed and built up the theory and methodology system of a new metrology - Innometrics. He has won the Lu Jia-Xi Young Talent Award in Chinese Academy of Sciences, the award nomination of the National Hundred Outstanding Doctoral Dissertations in China, the second prize of the Outstanding Achievement Award for Scientific Research of Colleges and Universities to Science and Technology, and the Wang Kuan-Cheng Postdoctoral Research Award in Chinese Academy of Sciences, to name just a few. He has been selected into the member of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association.
